The English education side of PinkWrite, write.pink, now has the completed first edition, which includes:

1. A comprehensive handwriting curriculum with various printable practice materials
2. A complete “fast-track” book set for reading, from phonics through complex sentences, main tenses and moods, and comprehension of academic information
3. A complete typing system, including first 88 words and a software app that can be accessed online or downloaded, aiding teachers to work with students

The next stages will be to expand this first edition to include:

1. Some companion videos for the reading curriculum
2. A parallel curriculum to include a system of comprehension, expanded reading, and writing that builds with graded grammar in concert with graded vocabulary and word components

After the companion videos for the reading curriculum and the parallel curriculum have been through the “sledgehammer” test, the final phase of write.pink will be to develop a teacher certification course.

 

The initial installment of write.pink is finished!

It is complete with handwriting guides, charts for grammar, overviews of usage, basic word lists, stories from Rudyard Kipling and Hans Christian Andersen, phonics tables, and much more.

We’re also honored that artist for the “Oxford Comma” (Rhinoceri, Washington, and Lincoln), Eric Edelman, has granted limited use of his artwork in the guide on Punctuation.

write.pink is now live.

Five good stories from Rudyard Kipling are up, with some edited notes to help second-language students.

Also, seven great and useful grammar charts are up and ready for regular practice. They are ready for lookup, but most grammar charts are also intended for the student to practice by reading them aloud, or writing or even typing them.

YouTube tutorials are a high priority and should be coming soon.

Eventually, short stories could also be on the way.

Long-term, much more is coming from PinkWrite, including a hosted portfolio service that focuses more on simplifying the writing and formatting aspects of content, exporting content to epub, feeds, posts, emails, and web portfolios with standardized, but tweakable, theming.
